Styled by Dogi Nesanir, the American model wears a fringed suit from Matthieu Blazy’s Spring 2024 collection for Bottega Veneta in the chic and minimalist cover image.

The piece is a vintage Pierre Balmain dress which features a fitted bodice and an ample skirt. Elle’s hair was styled into a neat, side-parted ballerina bun – ultimately becoming my absolute favorite from the night!

Margot Robbie:

The Aussie actress, who was nominated for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, for her role as Barbie arrived in a custom Giorgio Armani Privé hot pink sequined gown along with a pink tulle boa, which Barbie fans immediately recognized as a replica of the 1977 SuperStar Barbie doll’s 50th anniversary! Margot wore her beautiful blonde tresses parted in the middle and cascading down in gentle soft waves, with flawless glowing skin and a gorgeous flush on pink on her lips. What’s not to love?

Rosamund Pike:

The sweeping ballerina-length, full-skirted black chantilly-laced dress the British actress wore was paired with a “protective veil” designed by Philip Tracey, selected to help conceal the wounds of a skiing accident in December. The dress from a 2019 Christian Dior haute couture collection designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri was selected by stylist Leith Clark. Leith accessorized the netted dress on Pike with pair of black platform sandals, ear cuffs of dazzling white diamonds and rings from Boucheron. Fair the say the veil made this look!

Carey Mulligan:

Mulligan channeled 1950s-style glamour on the red carpet – and with stunning results. The actress wore a vintage Schiaparelli black dress with ruching down the centre and an embellished sweetheart strapless neckline. Hairstylist Jenny Cho said the sparkly dress was the main inspiration behind Mulligan’s contrasting sleek bob.

Danielle Brooks:

Dressed in a stunningly vibrant floor-length red Moschino dress, adorned with jewels by swarovski, Danielle Brooks oozed old-Hollywood glamour. Looking like a time-less classic, with side swept dark copper curls, and a full glam, she was styled by Gabriella Karefa-Johnson and makeup by Rebekah Aladdin. A round of applause, please!

Elizabeth Debicki:

Making a glittering entrance at the 2024 Golden Globes Awards, the actress, who won her first Golden Globe for her portrayal of Princess Diana in Nextflix’s The Crown, donned a Christian Dior Haute Couture dress from the French fashion house’s Fall 2023 collection. Debicki wore her platinum blonde locks slightly tousled, while her makeup consisted of a nude lip and muted blush. Less is always more, right?

Can we even talk about the 2024 Golden Globe Awards without the mention of Jennifer Aniston’s new-do? Last night, Hollywood stars descended upon the iconic Beverly Hilton hotel in Beverly Hills for the 81st annual Golden Globe awards. Stars like Margot Robbie dazzled in sequined Giorgio Armani Privé (channeling Barbie, because what else?), Taylor Swift shone bright in custom lime green Gucci while the living legend that is Meryl Streep walked the red carpet in a shimmering Dolce & Gabbana floor-length skirt and jacket. Selena Gomez had somewhat of a mini Marilyn Monroe moment before the lens of the paparazzi, wearing a ruby red dress and the even the warm Los Angeles wind understood the assignment when Hunter Schafer arrived in custom translucent Prada. It’s official: David Sims is a firm fave of Sabato De Sarno. From the get-go, Gucci’s newly-instated creative director has insisted the brand’s studio-designed Fall 2023 collection be documented by Sims (showcased by model Vittoria Ceretti in the campaign) and called upon the celebrated British photographer for the Italian fashion house’s buzz-worthy jewelry campaign starring comeback queen Daria Werbowy.

De Sarno summons Sims once again with the unveiling of the Italian designer’s first official mainline advertising campaign for the Spring 2024 season, ushering in a whole new look for the brand first established in 1921. Wiping the slate clean for a new creative vision, a selection of models assemble within Sims’ photographic studio against a clean white backdrop. Complete with styling from Alastair McKimm, the fresh faces include Fadia Ghaab, Ana Rossolovich, Jiahui Zhang, Nyajuok Gatdet and Violet Hume.

“It’s a lifeless campaign from the backdrop to the group chemistry of the models. Super disappointing after such a promising start with the Daria Werbowy campaign,” said GERGIN.

“It’s clearly an attempt to reference the Fall 2004 Gucci ad but fails miserably to deliver anything,” voiced an underwhelmed grimm.

Also unimpressed was forum member tatouejeremie, adding: “A logo hoodie in a campaign in 2024? Must be a dire situation at Gucci!”

“The models have no energy, the clothes are bland, the setting is non existent and the photography is lazy,” complained GivenchyAddict.

In complete agreement was Marc10: “This collection desperately needed a strong, dynamic campaign with a star model to help elevate the clothes and create some sort of fantasy and desire. A white backdrop with bland new faces was literally the worst way to go. Terrible.”
